I bought this because of an emergency. My landlady is gut renovating her downstairs apartment. The crew she assembled starts early in the morning, and works late into the night. Unfortunately for me that means dust, debris, fumes from paint/paint removers are coming into my living space. The dust I could tolerate, but the fumes got so bad I couldn’t sleep because I was coughing all the time, and getting headaches. I searched the internet looking for air purifiers that get rid of the volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) that paint/paint removers release, but most purifiers either didn’t address gaseous substances, or the ones that did were hundreds of dollars. One of the best purchasing decisions I ever made! I put the purifier on the quick setting in a slightly over 100sq ft room, and it went to work. For the first time in days I can breathe. The difference in the air in the room with the purifier, and the air in the other rooms, is night, and day. The second I walked out of the room with the air purifier, it was like the fumes smacked me right in the face.
