These intakes have a provision for external water bypass, and feature four corner water outlets, dual distributor hold-downs and include a square bore carb adapter and gasket. LowRise Vortec manifolds will also work with a late model-style water neck, alternator, HEI and air conditioning brackets. Choose the finish you prefer. Note: These intake manifolds will also fit 1996 and later Vortec engines with some minor modifications. The modification is not to the manifold itself; it just requires running a short section of heater hose from the pipe tapped hole in the front of the manifold to the 5\/8 in. hose nipple on the passenger's side of the water pump. The 1966 and later Vortec blocks do not have a water bypass in the block.
