Masterpiece Monet Pro Stretched Canvas are manufactured with Kiln dried solid wood from the sustainable forests of the Pacific Northwest. The Stretcher Bars with tongue and grooved corners, have a 1.625 in. width, and a 1.5 in. depth after stretching. Sizes 16 in. x 20 in. and larger include stretcher braces for extra strength, and to help prevent warping. Braces are .75 in. thick and 1.5 in. wide. The Monterey Premium Cotton surface is Masterpiece's most popular and economical cotton style. It has a 7 oz. medium weight and medium surface texture, and a 10.5 oz. weight after priming. Each surface has 1 coat of sizing, 2 coats af acrylic primer, and 3 coats of ground. All canvases are pH balanced and archival quality. Ideal for use with Acrylic, Oil, Alkyd, or Water Solulble Oil paints.
